I was hesitant about getting this stand because of some of the reviews and because I wasn't sure how well it would work with my iPod Touch 2g, however I decided to give it a try. It works great!! I base a lot of my purchases on user reviews and the reviews on this stand weren't very specific so here are some details that might help you determine if this stand might work for you. I have a speck pixel skin case on my iTouch but it does not hinder use of the stand. In fact, the skin helps keep my iPod balanced in the stand. No sliding, no falling, and no tipping, even when standing vertically/portrait. And for added stability, I put a little bit of poster putty on the bottom of the stand so that even if I bump my desk, my iTouch and the stand stays perfectly in place. This stand is simple, solid, and suits my needs perfectly.
Tiny but really well designed!

I bought this because I don't like just having my phone lay on the desk when I charge it or synch it. It is great having it sideways if you are running a clock app. There are a ton of uses for it and it is a great design! If you just want to have a no frills holder for your iPhone or iPod touch then get this stand.
Simple, yet extremely effective

Bought this to use with my iPhone 3G. Works great in BOTH landscape and portrait modes. I even have a thin case (iSkin) on the phone and it handles that fine. For thicker cases like the Otterbox it may not work, but overall this is a great solution. Aluminum is sturdy and lightweight.

The elago iPhone stand is a very small, light, functional stand. Perfect for watching movies on the iPhone while flying coach, or anywhere else. I also tried the Crabble Folding iPhone stand. It is great and does fit in the wallet, but I now prefer the elago stand because it feels more solid. I wouldn't try to put it in a wallet, but it's still very light weight and easy enough to carry.

I am thrilled that I bought this little wonder. I travel quite extensively and use my iPhone to watch movies on planes....it is quite a challenge to prop the thing up at a proper angle and this stand solves that problem. Engineering at its best. :)
Perfect light weight design with a great price to boot.

This little gem is practical and resourceful. I received it in the mail in the matter of a few days, too. No problems of any kind from the seller, with the mails or with the product. It sits on my desk and holds my iPhone every day. Great purchase!
This little thing is great!

This stand was a LOT smaller than I expected, which was better than expected too. It is perfect! I have an iPhone 3GS in a flick case and this stand works GREAT! Perfect for travel because it's so small and sturdy cause it's made of aluminum.
